Dr Duc Do

Overview

Dr Duc Do is a Lecturer in Banking and Finance at Bangor Business School. His research looks at the intersection of banking, climate change, sustainable finance, and corporate behaviour. His work leverages large-scale data and machine learning techniques—such as web scraping and textual analysis—to investigate how ESG disclosures, carbon pricing, and financial regulation influence banks, corporate and investor decisions.

Prior to joining ×îÐÂÂé¶¹Ó°ÒôÊÓÆµ, Dr Do held academic and research positions at Swansea University and the University of Manchester.

He welcomes PhD applications in areas such as empirical banking, corporate finance,  sustainable finance, and machine learning.

Banking: Bank culture, Bank efficiency, Bank risk-taking

Corporate Finance: Speed of adjustment, Stock liquidity, Commonality in liquidity, Media coverage/sentiment, Corporate Governance, Subsidiary, Peer effect.

Sustainable Finance, Climate change.

Data science: Dynamic web scraping, Advanced textual analysis.
